Unlike laminated products, our in-house designed composite urethane technology allows us to engineer the light weight UNIQUE experience. 

The custom blended, medium density polyurethane foam reacts quickly to the smallest weight shift, giving the individual the impression that one is walking on air.  All UNIQUE Therapeutic Mats are designed with an optimal of 5/8" foam.

Though Canadian OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) do recommend anti-fatigue mats in the work areas, they caution against trip hazards commonly associated with stiff, heavy anti-fatigue mats.  Through the use of a flexible, high tear strength polyurethane wear membrane and a 2:1 molded edge, we have engineered a new class of anti-fatigue mats with safety foremost in our minds.

The problems associated with standing for an extended period of time have been widely researched across the globe. The damage caused to our bodies from prolonged standing is staggering as it rivals other serious diseases such as cancer, stroke or heart failure. To some degree or another, most of us have suffered or are still suffering from the following symptom:

How do anti-fatigue mats work and what should you look out for?

A good anti-fatigue mat will generally do two things; insulate the body and act as a shock absorber. It does not replace the need for good footwear, as bad fitting shoes or high heels are detrimental to your well being. Most available mats vary from 1/4" to over 11/4" in thickness and customers are often fooled into believing that thicker is better. This is an absolute myth and should never be used as guidelines for your decision to determine which mat to purchase.

IC Urethane Products recommends using any all purpose cleaner such as:

• Lysol or Lysol Orange
• 409
• Fantastic

  DO NOT USE A SOLUTION CONTAINING BLEACH OR BLEACH PRODUCTS. DO NOT USE A WAX OR PRODUCT THAT WILL LEAVE A RESIDUE.

Unique Mats should be stored flat; however it may also be rolled with the foam to the inside and Elastomeric Top Surface to the outside. To roll incorrectly will cause damage to the mat.

Each Unique mat is individually molded from 100% polyurethane. The top surface has a higher tensile strength and is more resistant to chemicals, abrasion and punctures compared to mats produced from conventional materials. The high density foam core exhibits superior elasticity, memory and quick rebound.
